Arise and Shine

“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight…” (Ephesians 1:4 NIVUK)

God always knew what the Cross would accomplish.. He was and is always in full control of what lies ahead.. Our lives are not just random.. but planned by God long before we were even born.. 

“My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” (Psalm 139:15-16 NIVUK)

“For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIVUK)

His ultimate plan was to save us from a sin-bound world.. To change our thinking and ideas.. to renew our minds so we can arise with Him in the resurrection.. and that plan was fully fulfilled.. It is done!

“Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand. (Proverbs 19:21 AMP)

God’s plans supersedes our ideas.. We can not always see what the future holds.. But we can confidently rest in Him.. be at peace in the knowledge that His ultimate plan for our lives have already been accomplished on the cross.. that is why we are able to start living from His finished work on the Cross..

God’s word stands true and he fulfills every promise.. Our lives are planned out by God our Saviour… Our problems and struggles do not dictate our future… It is not OUR past, but God’s past that dictates our future
