Align

Alignment happens when we walk faithfully in the path that He has revealed in His will and through the leading of the Holy Spirit.

“…. Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the LORD Almighty. (Zechariah 4:6 NIVUK)

We need to align ourselves with God so that we can discover who He has created us to be….. Be in step with His will and in unity with the Spirit.

Have a willingness to put His preferences above your own….

God’s guidance is what keeps us in alignment. Alignment of our will with His will brings peace of mind and clarity of purpose.

But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God). (Galatians 5:16 AMP)

When you draw close to the heart of God, your heart begins to line up with Gods and beat in the same rhythm and for the same purpose.

We need wisdom and spiritual understanding to be attuned with God’s will… But we also need the discipline of aligning our lives in the way God works and walks in this world.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2 NIVUK)

And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever. (1 John 2:17 AMP)

We must constantly review the way we live so we can align our lifestyle with the ways of God.

“so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10 NIVUK)

Yes, alignment is necessary otherwise we are at the danger of mal-alignment.
