Timing

We often get impatient when we don’t know when what we trust God for (those desires of our hearts) will happen… knowing that exact date or time. We are living in a time where our lives are so busy and fast-paced that we want everything RIGHT NOW! We lose our patience and it get more difficult to discern God’s timing.

But His perfect timing is never late….and through experience I’ve realised that its never too early either! God is never in a hurry, but always on time…

It is very hard to understand why God isn’t seemingly answering our prayers when we think we need Him to. But we can often see why God needed us to wait.. In hindsight!

True faith includes being patient… If we knew the date and time we would remain so fixated on that date and probably not live in the moment of each day. We might even give up if we knew how long it was going to take, but when we accept His timing.. we can learn to live in hope. God likes to prepare us while we wait, to be spiritually ready. Remember that God has our best interest at heart and He knows just the right time to reveal it to us. But in this waiting.. you might also see that what we thought we needed was different to the greater purposes God had in mind for us.

“For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”

(Habakkuk 2:3 NIVUK)

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”

(Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11 NIVUK)

God knows that there is a perfect time for everything.. And one challenge that goes hand-in-hand with waiting on God’s timing…is TRUST.. to trust His timing.

“But I trust in you, LORD; I say, ‘You are my God.’ My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me.”

(Psalm 31:14-15 NIVUK)

“but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

(Isaiah 40:31 NIVUK)

“Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.”

(Psalm 37:7 NIVUK)

And KNOW His plan for our lives is GOOD.. And in the time of waiting..Pray for patience…ask for His will to be revealed… And TRUST!
