Arise and Shine

Do you sometimes feel that something’s missing in your life? Where do you go to try and fill the emptiness… to satisfy that unmet desire… do you feel a lack of fulfilment and purpose?

You might think you will be happy and satisfied when you get your next increase, or get married… have children… or buy a house or car or new phone.. You think that a quick purchase on Amazon will  make you feel better or change your ‘mood’…

But still.. The satisfaction is a fleeting thought, and that feeling that something’s missing.. (that void in your life)…still remains.. 

If we keep pursuing things that are not eternal when we have that feeling of lack, we will always remain unfulfilled.

‘This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich towards God.’ (Luke 12:21 NIVUK)

Sometimes… Our only goal in life is to become financially secure and independently wealthy… but there is a spiritual ‘wealth’ that we need to strive for.. God can reveal what’s missing in your life and fill it with His rich blessings..  

I love those who love me, and those who seek me early and diligently shall find me. (Proverbs 8:17 AMP)

As we store up His lasting wealth in our lives.. We can be confident nothing important will ever be missing. As we engage in a personal relationship with God.. He will satisfy our deepest hunger and need.. 

The connection to Him who created us to be in fellowship with Him is restored. The God-shaped void is filled, and satisfying joy finds its home.

Ask God to show you if there are things in your life that you are using to fill the hole in your heart that only He can fill.

The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. (Isaiah 58:11 NIVUK)
